This exhibition prompted me to delve deep into the Chaos Theory , “The Butterfly Effect” and how the collective consciousness can change the world. If we all live in fear of terrorism, we create that world and it affects everyone, and everything, right down to the smallest details in our life. We have a choice we can focus on fear or peace, if everyone chose peace, maybe the world would be a better place. “Unlock the Mind and Open the Heart” is my mantra for this body of work. It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly’s wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world. - Chaos Theory Kim Dove has had several exhibitions at the Nowra Regional Gallery, with the group called Soul Connections. “Connecting Energy” at the Silo’s Winery with Madeleine Sheldon.“The Body Beautiful” with the Life Drawing Group and “Framed”, at Berry Courthouse.Kim entered “The Cow and the Sea”, and Meroogal Women’s Art Exhibition in Nowra, and with Jacklyn Peters had a month long exhibition at “The Goulburn Club” this year. Kim created and is curator of the Annual Berry Landcare Art Festival. She has been painting for 17 years, five years under the tuition of Doug Walters, painting landscapes in Oil. After completing a course called “The Artists Way” a spiritual path to higher creativity, she experimented with a number of different artists, getting together weekly to create art works.
She attended and organised a number of Art Therapy Workshops with Rob O’Brien to delve deeper into the psyche and the meaning of symbols in art. Painting with Berry Art School, and weekly life drawing sessions in Berry, and her 20 years of practising and teaching yoga and meditation have influenced her topics and style of painting
Her next exhibition, entitled “Illusions and Reflections” will be opening mid December 2007 through to mid January 2008 at nowra Regional Gallery, Berry st. Nowra
